Decolonizing Yoga with Susanna Barkataki

Alex McRobert Season 4 Episode 9

It was SO COOL to have Susanna Barkataki on the podcast! I have followed Susanna for years and really admire her work. Susanna focuses on decolonizing yoga, and inclusivity in yoga. She authored the book "Embrace Yoga's Roots" which I recommend to all of my 200-Hour YTT students. In this episode, we discuss cultural appropriation versus cultural appreciation and the work that students of yoga and teachers of yoga can do to uplift, inspire, and educate each other on this important subject.
